A couple of weeks ago I was chatting with my friend Cassidy at Bob’s Red Mill, and she kindly offered to sponsor another great giveaway. Longtime readers will already know that I’m a fan (and Bob’s is an Eating Rules sponsor), and if you missed my behind-the-scenes tour of their facility last year, you should definitely click over and check it out.

As I mentioned last week when I asked you what favorite foods you discovered in 2011, my “new-to-me” food last year was Hulled Hemp Seeds. So when we started brainstorming which products to offer up in the giveaway, and I mentioned my newfound love of hemp seeds, we came upon the idea of doing an “Omega-3 Three-Pack.”  And for good measure, we’re going to give away three of ’em!

    I throw them on just about everything. I like them in pancakes and on my granola, too. Putting them in anything baked is an easy way to hide them from my honey who doesn’t like being healthy. 🙂

    I am working at getting my health back inline so I can take care of my children properly. I add flaxseed to everything I eat already thanks to Dr Jean Layton. But I would also love to start adding the Hemp seed to everything and learning to bake with all three of them. I would love to learn how to eat healthier with these three products while helping my family and my health.

    I soak the Chia seeds overnight in water and add that to a water bottle for me to drink during a workout/run, Love it. As for the Flax seed I add that to lots of different things. I have not tried the hemp seed yet.

    I use ground chia seeds on my oatmeal, in any cookies, cakes, or breads too. I have also added it to dinners and yogurt. Okay, I add ground chia to everything! I love the flavor of ground flax, very nutty and use it in breads, cakes, cookies too.

    We use these seeds in cakes, cookies, breads, etc. as binders and egg replacements.

    I would use the flaxseed over my morning oatmeal or yogurt.The Hemp and Chia seed i would definitely have to look up ways to use them because i have never used them before:)

    Bob’s Red Mill Flaxseed meal is one of the ingredients in my super oatmeal. I add them along with toasted wheat germ, raisins, sliced almonds and plenty of cinnamon. I also add flaxseed meal to every batch of bread I bake.

    My daughter has to be vegan and GF due to her food allergies, so I’ve learned to get creative with these ingredients! I love making flackers, especially, with all three of these items. I use ground flax in place of eggs for anything I bake for her, too.

    when i was first diagnosed as gluten intolerant i was completely overwhelmed, bob’s red mill saved my life & made it so much easier to make some of my absolute all time favorite recipes!! thank you bob’s red mill.

    My latest use of flaxseed meal was in a killer batch of rainforest crisps – the flax adds amazing nuttiness to the crisps.

    I just put some hemp seeds on my oatmeal this morning for extra protein!
