After first publishing this Green Bean Casserole recipe a few years ago, it instantly became one of our favorite Thanksgiving dishes. It’s an easy recipe, and can be prepped in advance. I’m republishing it today in honor of the woman who invented the green bean casserole, Dorcas Reilly, who passed away last week at age 92.
Next time you’re at the market, consider this philosophy when looking at the options available to you and the prices beside them.
Instead of focusing on what I couldn’t eat, I came up with up with something else I love, and simply chose to make that a part of the holiday. It’s now one of my favorite parts of the holiday meal.
